From Spartanburg, SC:
Take I-85N to Exit 78 toward Chesnee. Turn left onto US-221. Travel approximately 28 miles. Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is located on the right.
From Kings Mountain, NC:
Take US-74W to Exit 181 (US-75 Alt W) toward Forest City. Turn left onto Charlotte Road (US-221 Alt). Turn right onto North Main Street (US-221). Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is located on the right.
From Marion, NC:
Take US-221 Business/South Main Street. Continue to follow US-221 Business which becomes US-221. Travel approximately 21 miles. Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is located on the left.
From Asheville, NC:
Take I-40E toward Statesville. Take the US-221 Exit 85 toward Marion/Rutherfordton. Turn right onto US-221 and travel approximately 20 miles. Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is located on the right.
From Rutherfordton, NC to Charlotte, NC:
Head South on N Main St toward W 5th St. Turn left at Charlotte
Rd. Turn right at US-74 Alt E. Take the ramp onto US-74 E. Merge onto I-85 N via the ramp to Charlotte. Take
Exit 34 (2nd exit to right) to merge onto NC-27 E/Freedom Dr. Turn left at W Morehead St. Turn right onto S
Kings Dr. Turn right onto Medical Center Dr into the entrance to Carolinas Medical Center. Turn right at the 4-
way stop onto Blythe Blvd. Turn right into the front entrance of Medical Center Plaza. There is valet parking
available at the front of the building. Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is located on the 3rd floor of Medical
Center Plaza in Suite 300. (Travel time is approx. 1 hr. 20 min.)
To the SHVI Cath Lab at Medical Center Plaza Building:
Go past entrance to SHVI on 3rd floor of MCP and thru breezeway into Carolinas
Medical Center. Take first hallway on the left and waiting room is on the left.
Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute pediatric cardiologists see pediatric patients once a month in the Rutherfordton office from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
